The fields are absolutely beautiful. We had a great time picking apples (our favorites are the Granny Smiths 🍏) I wish the staff was more educated on service dogs as we were given a bit of a hard time on our way out, this made no sense to me because we were leaving. However, putting that aside, the experience is really nice. The farm is giant and sprawling. There are plenty of hidden nooks and crannies to explore while picking different kinds of fruits and veggies. Bring water because there isn't alot of shade and on the sunny days it gets hot fast!!
We drive almost 3 hours to go apple picking at this Orchard, there are plenty of activities for the kids and many trees to pick from that are all labeled so you’ll know exactly what you’re picking. The staff is friendly and ready to drop what they are doing to help! This farm never disappoints!
The views here are breathtaking. Staff is very friendly, everything was nicely laid out, and there was a large variety of produce to pick. The yellow peaches are spectacular. This is a great place to spend an afternoon with the family! Can't wait to go back.
I have been coming to this orchard from last 10 years. It is not highly commercialized and you will get the true sense of farm living. Owners are good and they used to greet customers coming to the orchard. I didn't see those hugh dogs in my recent visit. I hope those dogs are still alive. Recently, owners changed the farm entrance and I loved the drive around the farm to enter. Hopefully, it will be paved at some point.
A great place to have fun with family/friends while picking apples, grapes, vegetables, enjoying amazing fall views or even just having apple cider donuts at their nice cafe. They even have a little village for kids and animal farm. The $10 entry fee makes it a great deal. Strongly recommend.
The apples were roughly $2 per pound which is average ish, given it is independent of which apples you pick. If you want Honey crisp/golden delicious you will have to come slightly earlier (August ish) while if you like Granny Smith (October).
There are plenty of amazing photo opportunities as well.
This is our third year visiting this beautiful farm. We drive almost two hours to get here and spend the whole day enjoying a beautiful day picking apples. The orchard is very well designed and easy to get around. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. This year we also enjoyed the fire pit.
We had a wonderful family day at Lawrence Farms, the weather was perfect, about 70° on October 15th, warm enough for a light sweater, or bare arms if you wanted. In NYS in that type of weather, you're likely to see boots & shorts or a combination thereof.😁. The hills can be a bit steep, but not unusual for the area, and they're manageable for most. There were plenty of varieties of apples, Concord grapes, vegetables, etc. to pick. The apple cider donuts are phenomenal, we went back for more! Lines can be long, in particular, the line for food was terrible, they need many more windows to handle the demand, not just 1 single window - it was so bad the I got off the line instead of waiting about 20 minutes just to get up to order! PLEASE Lawrence Farms, fix it! Otherwise, we all enjoyed ourselves very much.
What a beautiful farm for apple picking and some fresh veggies. I wish I was here 2 weeks before.
They still have all the varieties of fresh and juicy apples. We were lucky enough to find some good veggies as well. But since it’s almost the end of October, not all the veggies were fresh enough to be picked. But still we managed to get some good brinjals, peppers, tomatoes, cabbage and corn.
And not to miss they serve the most amazing fresh cider donuts. The restaurant benches are arranged at such a picturesque location.
Overall we had a great time at Lawrence orchards and I would definitely visit this place next year as well.
